Working with Dad can be Hazardous

Paxten is Shane's shadow. The second Shane gets home Paxten follows he everywhere. If he could spend every second of every day in the garage with Dad he would. So with that time and in that space a few accidents are bound to occur. This one happened while on a bench and he slipped off and caught the edge of a 2x4 on his cheek. It really wasn't that bad and only one spot was actually cut open within 10 minutes it started to go black.

Having his picture taken to go on the blog made him feel much better.

Our New Piano

I am so far behind it's crazy. So here is the latest. We bought a piano. It's old, it's used and it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! We won it online from a charter school that was having an auction. When my grandma passed away she left all the grandchildren a small inheritance so I had it in mind that I wanted to do something lasting with it and I have ALWAYS wanted a piano. So we started searching and found this one. No one knows how to play so hopefully we can get at least one of the boys to take lessons. Cris is first up and he is very excited. Andy plays the violin and he can already play the first few lines in couple of hymns.

Hopefully this is something that will bring alot of joy and music into our home for along time to come.

Coolest House on the Block?

Our latest past time is mattress surfing. The kids LOVE it.

And it is all the neighbor kids want to do as well.
Shane had and has some issues with us running a mattress down his stairs, but the boys assured
him the smaller mattress does not hit the sides.
I guess it's all fun and games till some one breaks a bone. (Grin)

Are You Kidding Me

I'm seriously not old enough to have two boys shaving! I'm in shock. It was a lot of fun to watch.

We are so blessed. They are truly good boys. They are nice and respectful. Kind and helpful. ( I could just go a head and recite the scout oath or law or whatever it is, if I knew it). Definitely brain gone to goo teenagers but really great guys.

Shane is a great dad. He made it fun and they waited so long for him to get time to show them that it was a little like Christmas. We all laughed and I didn't even cry. Next major milestone is driving, Heaven help us all!

Good Job Boys!

Dr. of the Year

Here is our candidate for Dr. of the year, Dr. Allred. He(along with a host of Angels) saved Keasa and ultimately me. It was his quick thinking, training and listening to the spirit that brought her out safe and sound.
I have replayed that day many times in my head, and I know Heavenly Father was with us all then(I've been told that too) . I'm still unsure why, but I know he was meant to deliver Keasa that day. Anyone else and our outcome would not have been the same, I know that. Everyone that attended to us was so great and so very kind. We were in great hands. Our lives are forever changed in many good ways. Thanks Dr. Allred!

We did our first set of shots this week. It was our last first set. That is a good thing. I'm trying to not look at everything as a last first. Some things are harder than others. Each smile is so precious and she is very amazing. She weighed 10lbs and 4oz at 2 and 1/2 months. Time is going by to fast and I don't have to like it. She is so sweet. The girl package was certainly worth the wait.
